Teeth, stomach, neck/head: Baby is okay.

This past couple if weeks (1.25.13) has been interesting. Never in my life have I needed to go see more doctors, been to Walgreens more then once a couple times a year to pick up prescriptions let alone go 4 times in a single week. It has seemed so crazy. Now I know people go through a lot more then I have throughout a month than what I have my entire life, I'm not comparable to cancer patients or someone with a chronic illness but this seemed big for me because of how very few times in my life I've actually had to go see the doctor.

It all started a couple of weeks ago when my jaw started acting up again. I have TMJ so it happens every once in a while but not like this... For some reason this was worse than any time before. I heated and iced and rubbed and did everything I could to help my jaw and come to find out I have a super tiny cavity that is such a spot that this little cavity buddy I had made, decided to kill off my whole tooth... The dentist seemed to miss that in the 10 different x-rays he took. Silly him. :) lol Once I was able to get the huge infection out of my gums I was able to be pain free and my root canal is scheduled to this coming Wednesday! (2.13.13) and to add just a bit more to my situation, I can't lie on my back for to long (pregnancy) so it will be interesting to see how long this will take.

Next on the list is this past week on Wednesday I started to experience what is called Vertigo. It's dizziness but rather me feeling faint, literally everything moves.. It's a very strange sensation to experience. That became worse and worse as the days went on and I thought I was experiencing normal dizziness so I was making sure to stay hydrated and was on top of eating every couple of hours because I was thinking it was linked to pregnancy. In truth, it was not and ended up being Vertigo which mine was caused by the crystals in the ear that help you balance. Mine decided to take diving and swimming lessons so now still as of today I'm just waiting for them to settle and find land. (haha I'm funny sometimes :])
At the beginning of this starting I thought I was doing well with eating and staying hydrated so that when my doctor prescribed me something to help with the dizziness I was hopeful. Instead of taking the pill and seeing signs of relief I threw up almost exactly 10 minutes after taking it. I threw up, threw up again and then some more and more until the morning of the following day all I had left in me was stomach fluids and even that was coming up too so Justin and I took a trip to the hospital where I was hooked to an I.V. and told that I was so dehydrated that I had nothing but key tones in my urine. (Medical people, I'm assuming you'll understand how bad it was and I'm assuming that it was bad because of how shocked her face was when the nurse told me.) The I.V. and I were friends for a good 6 hours and it was such a great thing. :) I brought so much relief from that it was a beautiful experience and it was hard to say goodbye. I from there was given another prescribed medication and was sent home. I recovered really well and the only down said was that Super Bowl Sunday was the following day and all the food was not eaten by me... It was sad.
Now that I was and am finally eating solids and am on a regular diet I still am experiencing Vertigo. So i called my doctor and told him that the symptoms have not yet died down at all so he sent me to a family doctor who then prescribed me with another dizziness pill and sent me to go see a specialist who couldn't schedule me in until the end of this month and the Vertigo will likely stop by then (hopefully).

To sum up this story, Justin is a wonderful husband who did everything in his power to help take care of me. We have great family and friends who were there for me when Justin had to go to work while I recovered. I took a total of 1, 2, .. 5 different types of prescribed medication in a month and the only reason that is a big deal to me is because that is the most I have had happen to be in the span of 3 weeks in my I entire life.
Zoey was a champ through it all and whenever they were worried about her they would hook me up to a monitor and see that she was still kicking (literally bladder, ribs, stomach, lungs, sometimes even my face it feels like) and I'm so glad and blessed that she continues to be wonderfully healthy and strong especially throughout my whole past couple weeks

I'm grateful, humble, blessed, loved and cared for.
